CASTAIR Duplex Systems (D-series, two-pump) — duplex only; no factory triplex
Coverage Duplex (two-pump, two-motor) reciprocating systems on a single horizontal receiver with lead-lag staging and lead-pump alternation; 10-30 total HP, 120- or 240-gal tanks, single-stage to ~175 PSI / two-stage to ~200 PSI. No factory triplex configuration — CASTAIR offers duplex only as a standard multi-pump system; a three-pump build is custom-order. Rotary duplexes are also available, priced the same as the rotary-screw pair.
CASTAIR's Duplex Systems mount two of the brand's cast-iron two-stage reciprocating pumps with two motors on a single horizontal receiver — US-made in Minnesota, with the same non-proprietary, field-serviceable parts as the brand's single-pump reciprocating units. The factory line is duplex only: CASTAIR's catalog explicitly lists eight compressor series — contractor, garage, commercial, industrial, duplex, gas-powered, rotary screw, and rotary piston — with no factory triplex (three-pump) configuration; a three-pump arrangement would be a custom build. Stocked duplex models are the D-series two-pump units: 2×5 HP (10 total HP, ~35 CFM @ 175 PSI — e.g. D5112HC1-S), 2×7.5 HP (15 HP, ~50-56 CFM — D7112HC2-S), 2×10 HP (20 HP, 70 CFM — D10112HC2-S), and 2×15 HP (30 HP, ~100 CFM, three-phase — D15312HC3-S), on 120- or 240-gal horizontal tanks. Single-stage to ~175 PSI / two-stage to ~200 PSI on the reciprocating pump basis.
Why CASTAIR here A duplex/triplex system is built on the same cast-iron reciprocating pumps CASTAIR is known for — so the redundancy and even-wear staging come with the brand's US-made build and non-proprietary parts. For an uptime-sensitive account, it lets the DC channel deliver multi-pump redundancy with a pump platform the channel can already service.
BGAC / FSAC / AC air-cooled aftercoolers
Coverage Two physical configurations. Belt Guard style (BGAC1–BGAC4, with M-suffix motor-mount variants) — 35–100 CFM, 3/4" to 1" connections, mounts to the compressor beltguard for a compact package. Free Standing style (FSAC35 / FSAC50 / FSAC75 / FSAC100 and the larger AC120 / AC150 / AC240 / AC300) — 35–300 CFM, 3/4" NPT up to 2" NPT, a separately mounted unit for larger or retrofit installs. All are air-cooled; no water-cooled variant in the CASTAIR aftercooler line.
CASTAIR builds its industrial reciprocating compressors in the US and pairs them with a dedicated air-cooled aftercooler line that uses the same buy-once philosophy. The aftercooler is a fan-driven air-to-air heat exchanger that cools compressed air to within roughly 15°F of ambient, knocking out a large share of water vapor before the air reaches the receiver. All models are rated to a 250 PSIG maximum operating pressure and a 350°F maximum operating temperature, with performance stated at a 250°F inlet air temperature. Free-standing units run on a 115V / 1-phase / 60Hz fan motor. Because CASTAIR offers the aftercooler as its own line rather than only as a sealed compressor sub-assembly, it can be specified with a new compressor package or supplied as a standalone unit when an existing system needs cooling added or replaced.
Why CASTAIR here CASTAIR gives SPC a US-made aftercooler that can be quoted two ways — built into a new CASTAIR compressor package, or as a standalone air-cooled unit sized by CFM when an existing system needs cooling added or a failed aftercooler replaced. The published model grid (35–300 CFM, belt-guard or free-standing) lets the DC channel match an aftercooler to almost any small-to-midsize reciprocating system off a single spec sheet, and the same cast-iron, buy-once build standard runs through CASTAIR's whole line.
CASTAIR Contractor Series
Coverage Single-stage 125 PSI reciprocating compressor on portable/transportable tank-mounted frames, contractor-class HP (3/4 HP through ~3 HP-class gas-engine equivalents). Two drive types: direct-drive electric/12V (1725/3000 RPM) and belt-drive electric or Honda gas engine (1725 RPM). Tank/frame options include 1.5-gal portable, 8-gal portable, 4-gal twin-stack, 8-gal twin-tank, and 20-gal portable. Two-stage and higher-HP work is covered by the Commercial and Industrial reciprocating series.
CASTAIR's Contractor Series is the portable, job-site-ready slot in the SPC portfolio — a single-stage 125 PSI reciprocating (piston) compressor, US-made in Minnesota with the brand's cast-iron-sleeve oil-lubricated pump (the one direct-drive model, PD1006, is oil-less). The series splits into a direct-drive electric/12V group and a belt-drive group offered with either an electric motor or a Honda gas engine. Stocked offerings run from a 3/4 HP 12V portable unit (PD1006, 1.5-gal tank) through 1.5 HP electric units on 8-gal portable or 4-gal twin-stack tanks (D1518P20, D1514T20), up to belt-drive Honda gas units on 8-gal twin-tank or 20-gal portable frames (GX160-powered PUK5508G / PUK5520G and GX270-powered PUK9008G). Both wheeled-portable and twin-tank/twin-stack frame styles are offered — the line is built around transportable tank-mounted formats rather than a skid. An ASME safety valve is installed on belt-drive units (direct-drive unit tanks are non-ASME).
Why CASTAIR here CASTAIR's Contractor Series carries the brand's US-made cast-iron-pump build into a portable format, giving the DC channel a job-site compressor with the same long-life reciprocating pump a CASTAIR shop unit uses — a dependable choice for a contractor who needs to move the unit between sites.
CASTAIR cast-iron reciprocating range
Coverage Single-stage (to ~175 PSI) and two-stage (to ~200 PSI); vertical and horizontal tank-mounted simplex units, 60-200+ gallon. Continuous-duty and oil-free variants are not part of this cast-iron reciprocating line.
CASTAIR's reciprocating line is US-made in Minnesota with a cast-iron pump. Single-stage units run to ~175 PSI and two-stage units to ~200 PSI, with vertical and horizontal receivers in the 60-200+ gallon range. The pumps are built for a long rebuild interval — on the order of 10,000+ running hours between rebuilds — and use non-proprietary, field-serviceable parts so a DC shop can keep one running without OEM-locked components.
Why CASTAIR here CASTAIR is the US-made, cast-iron workhorse of the launch portfolio — built for buy-once, fix-rarely service with non-proprietary parts the DC channel can stock and rebuild itself. For a small shop or intermittent-duty account that values long pump life and simple field serviceability, it is a direct, well-supported answer.
CASTAIR CS Series
Coverage Fixed-speed oil-injected rotary screw, load/unload control; tank-mounted and base-mounted configurations across common industrial HP. VFD is covered by a separate product type. [VERIFY] CS Series HP span and drive type per model.
CASTAIR's CS Series is the fixed-speed oil-injected rotary screw line in the SPC portfolio, sharing the brand's US-made, buy-once-fix-rarely positioning. It runs the airend at constant motor speed and holds pressure by load/unload cycling, and is offered tank-mounted and base-mounted across common industrial HP. [VERIFY] the exact CS Series HP span and whether all sizes are belt-drive or include direct-drive frames, against a current CASTAIR engineering datasheet.
Why CASTAIR here CASTAIR carries its US-made, simple-to-service identity into rotary screw with the CS Series — a fixed-speed oil-injected line for a continuous-duty account that wants the same domestic-build, field-serviceable story it would get from CASTAIR's reciprocating range.
