F Series and FT Series dry inlet filters

Coverage Standard polyester (5 micron) and paper/cellulose (2 micron) media. High-efficiency synthetic media available for fine-dust environments ("Z" series polyester 99+% @ 1 micron, "Y" polypropylene 99+% @ 10 micron, HEPA glass 99.97% @ 0.3 micron). Housing styles: F Series weatherhood-protected element and FT Series exposed-element low-restriction; threaded and flange connections from 1/2" through larger industrial sizes. Element temperature window -15°F to 220°F (standard media). Replacement elements sold separately for recurring service. Oil-bath intake filtration is NOT part of Solberg's current catalog — confirmed: the current intake-filter line is entirely dry-media (FT, F, FS, QB, and 2G series), with no oil-bath assembly listed; oil-bath is a discontinued legacy option only.

Solberg's dry intake filters are the F Series (fully drawn weatherhood over the element, 1/2"–6" connections) and the FT Series (exposed element for the lowest possible restriction). Both run 99%+ removal efficiency: polyester media standard to 5 micron, paper (cellulose) standard to 2 micron. Sizing is by SCFM matched to the compressor's free air delivery — individual models span roughly 55 SCFM at a 1" connection up to 300+ SCFM at 3", and high-capacity element platforms reach 880+ SCFM. Continuous-temperature window is -15°F to 220°F. Replacement elements are stocked as a recurring service item. Filters are built in the USA (Franklin Park, IL) and the company holds ISO 9001, with UL on select products. Per the Controls and Components 2026 Catalog (p.60-65), the Solberg listing covers paper filter elements (32-series), full air intake filters and assemblies, silencers, and CAM-series mufflers — 2-micron pleated paper elements, OD ~5.8"–23", with 99+% removal efficiency at 2 micron and low pressure drop.

Why Solberg here Solberg is a 75-year compressor-intake specialist — inlet protection is the whole company, not a side line — which gives SPC a focused source for the one part of the system many distributors skip. The F/FT range covers reciprocating and rotary-screw inlets across the full SCFM band SPC sells, all US-made with stocked replacement elements, so a DC rep can size a filter to any compressor on the floor and keep the service revenue that follows. As a Parker company, Solberg also brings broad housing compatibility for cross-referencing filters onto compressors already in the field.

FS Series and PS Series filter-silencers

Coverage FS Series (carbon-steel, threaded/flange, 1/4"–24", up to ~8,000 SCFM) and PS Series (nylon snap-on, 1/8"–1", lower flows). Same media options as the dry intake filter: polyester 5 micron, paper/cellulose 2 micron, high-efficiency synthetic for fine dust. Direct-mount, remote-mount, and panel-mount housings. Replacement elements stocked for recurring service. Specific per-model dB attenuation ratings vary by model and compressor type [VERIFY].

Solberg's combined filter-silencers are the FS Series (stamped carbon-steel housing, threaded and flange connections from 1/4" up to 24") and the PS Series (glass-filled nylon, snap-on design, 1/8"–1" for smaller flows). Both pair the same dry media as the plain intake filters — polyester to 5 micron, paper to 2 micron, 99%+ removal — with a tubular silencing design that attenuates intake noise while keeping pressure drop low. Typical noise reduction is up to about 15 dB. SCFM coverage runs from single digits at 1/4" connections up to roughly 8,000 SCFM in the largest FS 'Sumo' class. Continuous-temperature window is -15°F to 220°F. USA-made (Franklin Park, IL); ISO 9001, UL on select products.

Why Solberg here The filter-silencer is Solberg's signature product — it solves filtration and intake noise in one housing and one installation, which matters whenever a compressor runs indoors near occupied space and OSHA noise action levels are in play. With FS and PS covering everything from small reciprocating units to 8,000-SCFM industrial inlets, SPC can spec a single device wherever a customer would otherwise need a separate filter and silencer. Because it shares media and replacement elements with the plain intake filter, it also folds cleanly into the same recurring-service program a DC rep already runs.
