ASME Horizontal Air Receivers (302xxx series)
Coverage Horizontal saddle-mounted configuration only (Manchester verticals are covered under the Vertical Receiver Tank type). Standard pressure tiers 165 and 200 PSI. Wet or dry service both covered with service-appropriate coating. Stocked common sizes plus larger made-to-order horizontals to 2,560 gal.
Manchester Tank's horizontal air receivers are the same ASME pressure vessel as its verticals, mounted lengthwise on saddles. Common horizontal sizes run from roughly 30-240 gal, with the manufactured line extending to 400-2,560 gal for larger installations. Standard MAWP 165 or 200 PSI. Carbon-steel, ASME Section VIII Div 1, U-stamped and National Board registered. NPT port schedule; saddle mounts. Frequently specified in skid-mounted compressor packages and food & beverage layouts where headroom is limited.
Why Manchester Tank here Manchester Tank is the recognized catalog standard for ASME receivers, and its horizontal line gives SPC a code-compliant option for headroom-limited rooms and skid-mounted compressor packages from the same trusted, US-made source — with common sizes available from domestic stock.
ASME Portable / Small-Capacity Air Receivers
Coverage Portable / small-capacity range: the 30-80 gal contractor/mobile band maps to the Grasshopper horizontal tanks — 30 gal (#305438), 60 gal (#305439), 80 gal (#305440) — with the Universal Horizontal line (1-30 gal, #304978-#304946) covering the sub-30-gal sizes. All 200 PSI MAWP. Compact, transport-oriented horizontal bodies; skid- or frame-mountable. Larger fixed-room storage is covered by the Vertical and Horizontal Receiver Tank types.
Manchester Tank's small-capacity ASME receivers cover the portable and mobile range — compact horizontal tanks built to the same ASME Section VIII Div 1 code, U-stamped and National Board registered as the stationary line. The portable/contractor band is served by two horizontal lines: the Universal Horizontal Air Receivers (1-30 gal, e.g. 19 gal #304942, 24 gal #304944, 30 gal #304946) and the Horizontal Grasshopper Tanks (30-240 gal), whose stocked small sizes are the 30 gal (#305438), 60 gal (#305439), and 80 gal (#305440). All of these carry a 200 PSI MAWP and a standard NPT port schedule with safety-valve and drain connections; carbon-steel construction, compact horizontal bodies suited to skid or frame mounting for transport.
Why Manchester Tank here Manchester Tank gives SPC a fully ASME-stamped portable receiver from the same recognized, US-made source as the stationary line — so a contractor or mobile-service customer gets a tank that is legal for commercial use and carries the brand inspectors already know.
ASME Vertical Air Receivers (302xxx series)
Coverage Vertical leg-mounted configuration only (Manchester also builds horizontal — see the Horizontal Receiver Tank type). Wet or dry service both covered by the same tank; coating (galvanized / epoxy / bare interior) selected for service. Standard pressure tiers 165 and 200 PSI. Stocked common sizes 10-240 gal; larger 400-1,550+ gal verticals are manufactured to order. No high-pressure specialty tier above standard ratings — that moves to an engineered vessel.
Manchester Tank's vertical air receivers are the industry-default ASME pressure vessels for compressor rooms. Commonly stocked sizes run roughly 10-240 gal (10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 80, 120, 200, 240 gal), with the manufactured vertical line extending to 400, 660, 1,060, 1,550 gal and larger. Standard MAWP is 165 or 200 PSI depending on size. Carbon-steel construction, ASME Section VIII Div 1 coded, U-stamped, and National Board registered. Leg-mounted; NPT inlet, outlet, drain, safety-valve and gauge ports. Common 60-240 gal sizes are carried in deep domestic stock for fast delivery.
Why Manchester Tank here Manchester Tank is the name most engineers and inspectors already recognize on an air receiver, and SPC keeps the common 60-240 gal verticals in domestic stock for same-week delivery. US-made, fully ASME-coded and National Board registered, it is the straightforward catalog choice when a standard vertical tank needs to ship fast.
